PartsThe car choked itself to death near the third rest station past the off-ramp to Applebee. There was nothing for her to do but to get down on her hands and knees until someone came over to assist her. She pulled her skirt down to keep it from riding up and smoothed back the strands of hair that had worked free of the pains she had taken to pin them in place. She bent down to inspect the tires, the only part of a car she was really familiar with.
There appeared to be nothing wrong with them, but what did she know? She had a degree in Social Science; there was nothing that she had learned in the cramped, ugly lecture halls of her un Parts
